December has been an absolute blur. Between our daily routine, special events, and visits from family, our house has been filled with holiday decorations and an abundance of love. With S still deployed, the days have been long and nights have been lonely. In-between joyous celebrations we’ve all had a plethora of tear-filled moments. To spend Christmas away from the person you love the most is an emotional pain I’ve never felt before. Thankfully, Liv and Landon have been a great distraction and have filled a major void with their laughter and smiles.Grammy (my mom), uncle John (my brother), and Poppop (my dad), came down for Christmas. The kids have had a blast playing with everyone, Liv’s been putting on performances for her audience, and the pups have been fed plenty of treats. We attended Christmas Eve mass where Liv sang her heart out and Landon didn’t even last through the opening carol. Following the present apocolypse, M&M’s at 7:30AM, and Christmas movies galore, we ate a yummy dinner & laughed as we watched Landon fall asleep while eating his ham. We’re officially counting down the day until homecoming. Do they make advent-like calendars for deployment? If not, I’ll be making one filled with Pinot Grigio and Apothic Red.Since I didn’t order enough Christmas cards consider this our virtual card. Merry Christmas, from our family to yours.
